Pressure Measurement in Industrial Applications

Pressure sensors help make today’s buildings and HVAC equipment safer and smarter as well as more energy efficient. This means pressure sensors need to be accurate even at very low pressure and reliable at all times, regardless of temperature or pressure.

When pressure sensors are used to monitor variable air volume (VAV), duct pressure, and room pressure, they are exposed to fairly clean, dry air and low pressure. But pressure sensors are exposed to harsh media and high pressure when they are used in pipelines to carry oil and natural gas.

Merit Sensor offers pressure sensors packaged to withstand wet and harsh media and calibrated for pressure as low as 1 inHâ‚‚O (0 to 250 Pascals) and as high as 500 psi (3,447 Pascals) over a wide temperature range.

Typical Applications

LP Series pressure sensor for HVAC

Variable Air Volume (VAV) and Air-Duct Pressure
